Born Into Blogging

Although the birth of this blog today was a whim, I suppose the actual result was long in the works. The allure of globalized communication, the existential appeal of discovering one's cyber voice,...escaping the guilt of suffering my friends and family to yet another unsolicited mass email!

Predictable to try and wrestle with blog formats and blog lingo with finals breathing down my neck. I am obsessively looking for insight into blogging edit keys on Macs while other good (better) little grad students are in the library solving problem sets on the affects of fiscal austerity and decreased absorption on internal balance of trade or writing about coal miner protectionism in rural China. Ah well. When the knock of technology batters at your dim mental door, you eventually have to open it - regardless of other tasks at hand.

So welcome to my journey of neophyte blogging. I, and the countless masses, surely must have something to say.

It is in print after all.

ok...so they (the countless technologically obsessed masses)finally broke you. You have given up, given in...whatever. However, if I find out that you have a profile up on "my space," we may need to renegotiate the parameters of our friendship.

That being said, congrats on the blog sweets! I look forward to reading all of your witty, zany, and amusing anecdotes. :)
